Venezuela beats Cuba for second straight day

On Monday it was Venezuela’s turn to play two on a day at the first Latin American and Caribbean League. In the morning they played Columbia and for sure beat them, but we do not know the result yet. In the second game of the doubleheader the host met with Cuba for another showdown in preparation for the upcoming World Cup in Taipei. Venezuela celebrated a 5-1 victory. It was their second win in a row against the foe. Marcos Castillo stopped the strong bats from the Cuban team with a strong pitching effort. Pedro L. Lazo was on the mound for Cuba. Venezuela had eight hits, Cuba four. Both will meet again tonight to decide, who will be the first winner of this new tournament.
