Turkey is hosting the European Cadets Qualifier in June 2008. The teams competing in Side (Antalya) for promotion will be the Ukraine, Great Britain, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.
The Turkish Cadets National Team held its first of three camps in January. The best players from Turkey were gathered in Antalya where the weather conditions are exceptionally good this time of the year. “We have a very young team with no international experience but we want to finish as good as possible at this years qualifier.” says Alper BOZKURT (Head Coach). Joined by two Turkish coaches, BOZKURT also brought in former teammate Ulli WERMUTH from the Mainz Athletics (Germany) and Jack SEARS from the USA as assistant coaches. Both foreign coaches will be on the staff until the tournament that will take place in Antalya from 23rd until the 28th of June 2008.
