As usual the transfer window in the Dutch Hoofdklasse ended at the end of last month and the player transactions have been announced for most of the teams.
Reigning champion Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam added Quintin de Cuba, Dudley Leonora and Melvin Perdue, while losing Rien Vernooij, Misja Harcksen and Ruar Verkerk. Ronald Jaarsma remains head coach.
Vice champion L&D Amsterdam continues to be led by head coach Charles Urbanus. They are welcoming five new players, including Jim Ploeger, Rodney Daal and Maickel Rietel. On the departure side Dennis Burgersdijk, Jesse Aussems and Norbert Jongerius no longer will wear the Pirates jersey.
The roster of the Hoofddorp Pioniers is seeing a nearly complete makeover with 13 players being added to the Hoofdklasse team of new head coach Mervin Gario, while 13 players are leaving the team.
HCAW head coach Roeland Henrique welcomes ten new players to Bussum. The biggest names on the transaction list are probably Burgersdijk, Chris Pfau and Timo van Ancum. 14 players including Ploeger, Rachid Engelhardt and Steven van Groningen are leaving the team.
The De Glaskoning Twins with promoted new head coach Kevin Knollenburg have added Jakob Syren to the team among seven new players. The right-hander is coming from the Swedish Elitserien. Also new on the team are Harcksen, Verkerk and Shurman Marlin. Perdue is leading a group of 12 players to leave the team.
DSS is going to rely mostly on its team from this year. Only Nick Keur, Sander Paap and Koen Werkman are joining the team of head coach Jerry Breek. Gijs Timmer, Levine Gabriels, Damian Melis, Thomas Bos and Sven van der Sanden are gone.
Newly promoted to the Dutch Hoofdklasse is Quick Amersfoort with Marco Wels has head coach. Van Zijl and Engelhardt lead eight new players on the roster. The biggest name on the departure list of five is Bas de Jong. The former Dutch national team player retired at the end of the season.
Aldric Dunlop and his Storks got promoted to the Dutch Hoofdklasse this fall. They will enter the 2018 season with eight new players on the roster, while four will leave respective get degraded to the second team.
