The Tournament of the European Baseball Academies in Tirrenia, Italy, which ended last weekend, was a full success. Every one of the ninety participants from Italy, Netherlands, France, Germany and Sweden got additional playing time on the highest youth level in Europe. And if the results are an indicator for a bright future than Italy is definitely ahead of the other countries in Europe, regarding the youth development. They stayed undefeated over the course of six games. However we do not know if all the countries had their best prospects at the event.
Results:
Italy – Germany 15-0/5-3
Italy – France 8-4/7-3

We only have the results for the Italian games and the final standings. The Swedish players were split to the other four squads, as they didn’t have a complete team.
