Tom Dunlap to strengthen Brussels Kangaroos in 2009



Starting pitcher Tom Dunlap of the Ponoma-Pitzer College in Claremont, California joins the BRUSSELS KANGAROOS for the 2009 season in the Belgian First Division. He graduated in Neuroscience last year and will also coach for the KANGAROOS. According to his new head coach John Miller, he is a control artist with a fastball-curveball combination.

The Gilford, New Hampshire native Dunlap had a 12-5 record and an ERA of 4.70 during his four-year career at the Division III College. He had 101 strikeouts (33 walks) in 157 innings. In the summer of 2007 he already was in Europe, playing for the Elitserien club ALBY in Sweden. He posted a 1-6 record with an ERA of 4.60 and 55 strikeouts (18 walks) in 60 2/3 innings.
