The Texas Rangers have released Kalian Sams at the end of Spring Training according to Honkbalsite.com. The 27-year-old Dutch outfielder played 20 games for the club in 2013. He also played for the San Diego Padres organization last year. He now needs to find a new team for the 2014 campaign, either in affiliated minor league ball or in the independent leagues.
