The first teams have been confirmed to participate in this year’s WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship in Surrey, Canada. A total of more than 30 countries are expected to participate in the tournament, which has an open character. The first five announced teams are host Canada, Czech Republic, France, New Zealand and the United States. The World Championship will be played from July 15 to 24 at the Championship Diamond in Surrey. The teams were confirmed by organization committee chairman Greg Timm in a news article.
