The current exhibition series in the Arizona Fall League is not as smooth as expected for Team USA. Closer candidate Chris PEREZ gave up two hits, four runs and two base on balls in the ninth inning and they lost 6-8 against Scottsdale. PEREZ had now two rough outings and is losing the job to Chris BOOKER, who closed out Saturdays win.

But their Offense showed some life with 16 hits overall. Andy LA ROCHE (Solo-HR, 2 RBI) and Steve PEARCE (2 Doubles, 2 Runs, RBI) had each three. Eight other members of their squad had at least one.

Matt WRIGHT started the game. He allowed five hits and two runs in four innings.

They are playing three more matches in the next three days in Arizona.
