Team USA is getting in shape
Team USA won on Tuesday for the second time in four games at the Arizona Fall League. They used a seven-run fifth inning to defeat Mesa 10-2. Jason JAMARILLO and Steve PEARCE slugged homeruns and the whole team tallied 13 hits. They also showed their base running ability with five stolen bases in as many tries.
Dallas TRAHERN allowed only three hits, one run and one walk in four innings.
There was also a benches clearing accident in the fifth inning. Mesas pitcher Lincoln HOLZKORN hit Justin RUGGIANO with a pitch in the back and the outfielder took some steps toward the mound. Both exchanged words and the benches emptied, but peace was restored.
