USA Baseball announced last week the coaching staff of the collegiate national team, which will play several games in Europe next year. Rob WALTON, head coach at the Oral Roberts University is going to be the manager. He is joined on the staff by Pitching Coach Jerry MEYERS, in addition to Assistant Coaches Nino GIARRATANO and Ritch PRICE.
This four will lead the team at the 2008 Dutch Honkbal Tournament (beginning on July 2) and the fourth edition of the FISU World Collegiate Championship (starts on July 18) in Brno, Czech Republic. Between these two events, they will play in a series against the Czech National Team.
