Mister Baseball

A selection of players from the Antilles will form a roster for the Haarlemse Honkbalweek this summer. The organizers already had announced that the USA, Netherlands, Japan, Cuba and Chinese Taipei are sending teams to the event.

The Netherlands Antilles Baseball Team was founded last month and has set a goal to qualify for the Pan American Games in 2011. Head coach is Farley GIRIGORI. Former professional players like Lorvin LOUISA, Quincy ASCENCION, Ardley JANSEN and Simon PANTHOPLET are already on the roster.

The Honkbalweek is scheduled for July 4th to July 13th and is considered as an important warm up for the following Olympic Games in Beijing.
