German right-hander Markus Solbach, who got invited to the All-Star Game next week, remains undefeated, but had his worst start of the 2014/2015 season in the Australian Baseball League on Friday. His Sydney Blue Sox lost 4-5 to the Adelaide Bite, conceding the winning run in the top of the ninth. Solbach issued four hits, four runs and four walks in just 4 1/3 innings, as he couldn’t protect an early 3-0 advantage. He sits at 4-0, while his ERA climbed to 3.26 with the no-decision. Mitch Dening broke a 4-4 tie in the ninth with a RBI single.
