You have some down time during the holidays and you’re already counting the days until Baseball returns? Maybe we can recommend a Baseball movie to you:
“The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg” from 1998 is a documentary about the Hall of Famer.
The story of Baseball Hall-of-Famer Hank Greenberg as told through archival film footage and interviews with Jewish and non-Jewish fans, teammates, friends, and family. As a first baseman with the Detroit Tigers, Greenberg was one of the premiere power hitters of his generation, appropriately nick-named “Hammerin’ Hank.” His power at bat helped propel the Tigers to major league dominance in the 1930s. At the same time, Greenberg fought anti-semitism, and emerged a hero and source of inspiration throughout the Jewish community.
