Steve Weidner new Head Coach in Godo

The 35-year-old American Steve Weidner is the new head coach of the Italian Baseball League club De Angelis Godo. He succeeds Mario Mascitelli and also will be responsible for the youth teams. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania he moved to Germany in 1996 to join the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg. He stayed there until 1999, went to the Baldham Boars in 2000 before going to Italy one year later. He played and coached for Godo, Imola, Novara and Arezzo (since 2006). Weidner will be assisted by Daniele Fuzzi and Omar Valdes.
