Spain has won the youth tournament, which was held in Valencia, Spain this past weekend. The “early bird” competition was sponsored by the Los Angeles Dodgers and featured academy players from Spain, Germany, France and Italy. Spain defeated Germany 7-1 in the final on Sunday. Italy clubbed France 14-10 to claim third place. Eric Perez from Spain was named best pitcher. Pascal Amon from Germany received a trophy as Most Valuable Player.
