The LEGIONAERE got their revenge for the loss in last year’s finals and crushed the ATHLETICS 11-4 and 13-1. However they could lose a victory, if MAINZ holds on to a protest in game one. Alexander Lauterbach had two runs and two RBI in the first part. Daniel Husband drove in three. In the second, Jerin Harper and Cedric Bessel each got three RBI. Klaus Hopfensperger hit a two-run homerun. Sascha Lutz had a solo shot for MAINZ in the second game. Shu Sasaki made his debut for the A’s after missing the first few weeks due to an eye injury.
