South Korea starts with 2 hitter into qualifier

The South Korean team opened the Final Olympic Qualifying Tournament with a flawless performance, beating South Africa 5-0. They scored three runs in the first three innings and the pitching staff allowed just one hit in a shutout.

Starter Min Han SON (W 1-0) impressed with six one-hit innings, striking out six. Dae Ho LEE led the offense with three hits and a RBI.

Brett WILLENBERG and Jamie ROSSOUW had the lone hits for South Africa. Pitcher Robert VERSCHUREN (L 0-1) pitched solid in the loss.
