South Korea rolls in warm-up

The South Korean roster for the Olympic Qualifier travelled to Taiwan early to play a three-game exhibition series against clubs of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. They defeated Chinatrust Whales 8-1.

The left-handed starter Kwang-Hyun KIM threw four one-hit-innings. Four relievers combined for the remaining five innings, giving up just one run on five hits.

South Korea faces dmedia T-Rex on Sunday and the Sinon Bulls on Tuesday next week to complete their preparation for the Qualifier. Despite the fact that they will miss the MLB stars Chan-Ho PARK and Byung-Hyun KIM, they are considered as one of the favourites. They open the tournament against South Africa.
