South Korea puts Mexico near elimination

South Korea followed the footprints of Asian rival Taiwan and won their third game of the Final Olympic Tournament. They defeated Mexico 6-1, which is nearly eliminated.
Mexico had high hopes on starter Walter SILVA, after he had beaten the Colorado Rockies last Sunday. He didn’t disappointed as he allowed only two runs of South Korea in the first seven innings. But offensive wise only Miguel OJEDA produced with a solo-homerun in the fifth to tie the game for a minute. The Asian powerhouse answered with a run in the sixth to take the lead again. They added four more in the eighth to put all hopes for a Mexican comeback on ice.
Seung Yuop LEE, Jong Wook LEE and Taek Keun LEE each had two RBI. Kwang Hyun KIM received the win.
