The Solingen Alligators have parted ways with head coach David Daniels. The club announced the decision on Thursday afternoon. They will present a new structure of the coaching staff before the weekend. The club cited differences between Daniels and the front office as main reason for the firing. The Alligators already had cut shortstop Luis Gil last week and starting pitcher Jerome Burton at the beginning of this week. They also already had moved Phil Ortez from shortstop to the outfield since he couldn’t handle the middle infield position defensively. Solingen lost both games against the Untouchables Paderborn last Sunday, dropping to 8-4 and third place in the northern division standings.
