15 teams travelled to Deggendorf, Germany to compete in the Softball European Championship Junior, starting on Sunday. The tournament lasts till August 16. The event starts on Sunday afternoon with the opening ceremonies. NHL player Christoph Schubert is going to throw the ceremonial first pitch. In the early evening two games kick off the schedule. Host Germany faces the Czech Republic at 17:00 on field one. Great Britain plays Belgium on field two one hour later. On Monday the other eleven teams join the four to start the preliminary round too.
