Shu Sasaki leaves Mainz Athletics

The 29-year-old Japanese catcher Shu Sasaki has left the Mainz Athletics the club announced on Friday. Between 2008 and 2010 he had appeared in 49 games in the German Baseball-Bundesliga, batting .262/.364/.308 with six doubles, 15 runs and twelve RBI. He also helped out with the second- and third-division teams of the A’s.
