Series for 3rd Place in Germany canceled

The best-of-three series to determine third place in the German Baseball-Bundesliga, which was scheduled for October 2 and 9 in Solingen, was canceled on Monday after the Paderborn Untouchables withdrew their participation. With that the Solingen Alligators will finish in third place and could earn the right to play in the European competitions next year if one of the finalists Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg or Heidenheim Heidekoepfe doesn’t want to. The championship series continues next weekend in Heidenheim with the Buchbinder Legionaere having a 2-0 lead.
