Semi-Final Round in Italian Baseball League completed
The four teams in the semi-final round of the Italian Baseball League concluded their schedule on Saturday. The two Italian Series participants were already set after the Friday games with DANESI NETTUNO and T&A SAN MARINO. The best-of-seven series is going to start on August 29 in Nettuno.

NETTUNO defeated BOLOGNA 6-3 on Saturday to finish off the semi-final round in the IBL on a high note. Luis Ugueto and Giuseppe Mazzanti hit homeruns. Carlos Duran drove in two for DANESI. FORTITUDO’s Stefano Landuzzi went two-for-four with a homerun and two RBI.
Victor Arias got a start and picked up the win after five solid innings. He allowed four hits, two runs and four walks. Cody Cillo gave up four hits, four runs and five base on balls in four innings to take the loss.

SAN MARINO used a six-run first to beat GROSSETO 8-4. Dean Rovinelli hit two solo homeruns and scored three times overall. Adolfo Matamoros also hit a homerun for T&A. Marco Benvenuti had four hits in five at bats.
Tiago Da Silva (SMA) started and allowed one run on three hits in three innings. Pedro Orta picked up the win with three strikeouts in a perfect ninth. Chris Cooper was hit hard and gave up seven hits, seven runs (6 ER) and a walk in two innings.
