The San Diego Padres have released Dutch outfielder Kalian Sams. The 26-year-old had just signed with the MLB organization in early May after getting shown the door by the Seattle Mariners after spring training. Hitting ten home runs in just 26 games he received the promotion from Double-A to Triple-A. But he didn’t hit for the Tucson Padres and fell through the ropes when the club acquired Scott Morse last week.
