HSV Stealers
The HSV Stealers continue their busy offseason in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. At the end of last week they have signed the 24-year-old American Sam Boone to take over at short. The New York native attended Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Springs and the University of Massachusetts. Last year he played in Australia. Boone is already the fourth strong player to join Hamburg for the 2011 season after Max Warren, Jakub Vojak and Rene Herlitzius.
Gauting Indians
The Gauting Indians added another player from the second division club Freising Grizzlies to the roster for the upcoming season. After catcher/infielder Florin Repper also Manuel Gruber is joining the southern division team, which barley missed the playoffs last summer. The right-hander is supposed to strengthen the pitching staff of new head coach Daniel Husband.
