Saarlouis hosts Athletics in battle for fourth place
The HORNETS with new acquired pitcher Salvatore Messina and catcher Seth Nowakowski hope to defeat MAINZ to move into sole possession for fourth place in the southern conference of the Baseball-Bundesliga. Ales Keprta will probably start against Manuel Moeller, with Messina eventually squaring off with Daniel Hayes. However SAARLOUIS could also send another pitcher to the mound, because it is not clear, how many innings the new southpaw can go.
The third team with a 5-7 record, the DISCIPLES, will have a tough task too. They host second-ranked HEIDENHEIM. The LEGIONAERE are heavily favored against NEUENBURG. And in the final doubleheader in the south, the INDIANS are playing MANNHEIM.
In the north the team in third place, the CARDINALS hope to solidify their position in the standings against the squad right in front of them. The UNTOUCHABLES lost only to the ALLIGATORS this year and are trying to extend the gap to the clubs behind them. The STEALERS and the WANDERERS, which had both high expectations at the beginning of the season, trying to get their ship back into contention for the top four.
