The Cincinnati Reds have signed free agent outfielder Roger Bernadina to a minor league contract with an invitation to Major League spring training. The “Shark” split the 2013 season between the Washington Nationals and Philadelphia Phillies before becoming a free agent. The 29-year-old joins Donald Lutz with the Reds in Spring Training. He batted .239 with 27 home runs and 57 stolen bases since 2008 in the big leagues. He is mostly known for his excellent defense.
