Roger Bernadina is going to become a free agent. The Philadelphia Phillies, which required him from the Washington Nationals this summer, removed him from the 40-man roster last week by designating him for assignment. He decided against a minor league assignment and now is free to sign with any team. The 29-year-old outfielder from Willemstad, Curacao batted .181/.250/.295 with four home runs in 112 games this year with the Phillies and Nationals.
