Rimini takes 2-0 lead in Coppa Italia Standings
TELEMARKET RIMINI won also their second Coppa Italia game on Saturday evening to take first place in the standings after the tournament in Rimini. CARIPARMA had beaten DE ANGELIS GODO in the afternoon for their first win. Next stop is Parma in a week.

PARMA won their first game of this year’s Coppa Italia edition against GODO 4-1. Michele Gerali led off the game with a walk and scored moments later on a double by the second batter Luca Scalera. Claudio Biagini added a RBI single in the third, before DE ANGELIS cut the deficit in a half through a sac fly by Paolo Toniazzi. CARIPARMA sealed the victory in the eighth, when Ettore Finetti scored on an error and Stefano De Simoni stole home.
Roberto Corradini allowed one run on seven hits and a walk in seven innings to pick up the win. Lino Luciani took the loss, giving up seven hits, two runs and two base on balls in five innings.

RIMINI defeated CARIPARMA 5-2 to take first in the standings after one game day. They took a fast 2-0 lead in the top of the first on RBI doubles by Leo Serafin De Camargo and Clinton Balgera. Michele Gerali scored on a passed ball for PARMA in the sixth to bring his squad in reach. But TELEMARKET scored three more times in the seventh and ninth to build up the advantage. Ettore Finetti’s solo shot for CARIPARMA in the bottom of the ninth came too late.
Chris Di Roma allowed one unearned run on three hits and two walks in six innings to receive the win. Filippo Mori struck out seven in six innings, but lost anyway, as he was responsible for seven hits, two runs and three bb.
