A two-run single by Daniel Mayora in the top of the tenth lifted Rimini to a 4-2 win over Novara in a make-up game in the Italian Baseball League on Tuesday evening. Novara had given the reigning champion a fight for the money, but in the end had to settle for the loss. After the Pirates took a 2-0 lead through a passed ball and a sac fly by Stefano Desimoni. RBI singles by Fausto Musumeci and Lorenzo Dobboletta in the seventh and eighth then tied the contest.
