RIMINI nearly got upset be the RANGERS, as they had to overcome a 2-4 deficit and needed sac fly by Mario Chiraini in the bottom of the twelfth period to win it. They had tied the game in the eighth, when Mattia Campanini doubled in a run and later scored on an error. REDIPUGLIA led 4-2 since a homerun by Johnny Carvajal (3-4, 2 runs, RBI) in the fifth. Massimiliano Sartori drove in two.
Matt Beech struck out nine in five average innings. He allowed six hits, four runs and two walks. George Delgado opposed him at the start of the game and pitched six innings, allowing our hits, two runs and a base on balls. Gustavo Martinez received the win for seven one-hit innings of relief, striking out twelve. Olmos blew the lead and took the loss.

Martin Vazquez homered and Seth La Fera got a RBI double, as SAN MARINO took a fast 2-0 lead on their way to an easy 5-1 victory. GODO cut the deficit to a run in the third on a RBI groundout by Paolo Tanesini. But T&A added three insurance runs in the sixth to seal the victory. Max Di Biase had two RBIs.
Tiago Da Silva pitched seven brilliant innings for SAN MARINO. He gave up just one hit and one unearned run, while striking out nine. Matteo Galeotti started for DE ANGELIS and was charged with three hits, two runs and five bb in four innings.

NETTUNO finally found a way to beat GROSSETO this season. They scored four runs in the top of the seventh to decide the outcome. The home squad tried to come back and rallied for two runs in the bottom of the eighth, though failed to get the tie. Ramon Tavarez drove in three runs. Carlos Duran scored twice for DANESI.
For the first six frames, Giovanni Carrara (NET) and Chris Cooper (GRO) were locked into a pitcher’s duel. Carrara allowed just two hits and struck out four to receive the win. Cooper gave up four hits and two walks, striking out three. Junior Oberto relieved him and took the loss.
The game between CARIPARMA and FORTITUDO BOLOGNA was postponed due rain.
