Riccardo Fraccari is the new president of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF). He was elected per acclamation at the IBAF Congress in Lausanne, Switzerland after the lone opponent John C. Ostermeyer withdrew his candidature. He succeeds Dr. Harvey Schiller. According to the report on FIBS.it, Kazuhiro Tawa (JPN), Alonzo Perez Gonzalez (MEX) and Antonio Castro (CUB) were elected as vice presidents. Fraccari is expected to remain President of the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS).
