For the Russian Teams the European Cup didn’t go as planned. Unfortunately it took Tornado Balashikha till the last game to get their offense going, and also to get their first win. MGPU lost two games by only one run, but didn’t get going at all in their other matchups.
Back in Russia the League kept going with games between non-Eurocup teams. Patrioty continued their string of losses and is dead-last with 20 in the loss-column compared to 0 wins. On the flipside four wins each for Moskvich and Severne Zvezdy put them in very good positions for the second half of the season.
This weekend Tornado appeared shaken by the week in Italy and dropped three games to Severne Zvezdy, which produces a 9-7 record for each of the two. In the second series MGPU clobbered Patrioty like there was a Mexican piñata.
The League will be on break as the Zborna prepares and participates in the Qualifier for the European Championships.
