Results Italian Winter League
The Italian Winter League heated up over the weekend. The preliminary round at the Veneto Tournament was completed. Praissola San Bonifacio scored 36 runs in four victories to clinch first place in group 2. San Martino Junior B won the decisive game against Brescia to secure second. Both teams of San Martino Junior reached the final round. They will face each other in the first semi-final on February 17th. In the second match Praissola plays against Dynos Verona A. Dario GUARDA (Praissola) led all pitchers with 38 strikeouts in 13 innings.
In Bologna host Athletics won their third game this winter and secured a spot in the playoffs with one game day left. Mercadanti Crocetta Kids Parma already had clinched the title in group B. The first round will be completed on February 17.
The Liguria Tournament kicked off their schedule on Sunday. BC Cairese won all three games. BC Sanremo lost only to Cairese and follow in second. They will continue play on February 17.
