After three teams were tied in first place last week, one dropped a step back on the twelfth game day, as FIORINI FORLI won both games against SANOTINT BOLLATE. In game one Stephanie Ray and Katerina Halova each went three-for-four with three RBI to lead FIORINI to a 9-7 win. BOLLATE tried to rally from 1-7 down and cut the deficit to 6-7 going into the final frame. But two insurance runs sealed the victory for the guests. In the second match Leslie Malerich (W 8-3) and Kelly Hardie (L 7-5) were locked into a pitcher’s duel for the first six frames until FORLI blew the game wide open with seven runs in the seventh of an 8-0 shutout.
DES CASERTA remains tied with FIORINI in first, as they won both games against EUROPROMO TITANO HORNETS. After a 6-2 in the first match, they needed a RBI single by Piera Rezza in the top of the ninth to win 2-1 in the second. MOSCA MACERATA also swept their two-game series in PARMA, while NUORO and LEGNANO split their twin bill.
