On the tenth game day DES CASERTA had to settle for a split against AMGA LEGNANO and lost a game in their lead over SANOTINT BOLLATE and FIORINI FORLI, which both swept their doubleheaders. They still lead the standings by two games. In game one against LEGNANO a walk and a hit by pitch with the bases loaded helped to score the decisive runs in the bottom of the sixth in a 4-3 win. In the second match Justine Smethurst struck out eleven in seven scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and a walk in a 2-0 shutout by AMGA. Kate Judd drove in both runs with a double in the seventh.
EUROPROMO won both games against MACERATA by a single run. In the first match Tonya Callahan drove in the winning run with a walk-off RBI single in the eighth. In the second game it was a dropped flyball by the pitcher and a muffed throw by the shortstop, which helped the HORNETS to score two runs in the bottom of the sixth in a 2-1 win. FORLI won twice against PARMA thanks to a four-for-four performance by Sharonda McDonald in the first and ten K’s in seven shutout-innings by Leslie Malerich in the second game. BOLLATE took two from NUORO. Kelly Hardie struck out ten in a six-inning four-hit shutout in game two.
