Des Caserta won both games against Nuoro last weekend in the Italian Softball League and remains in first place. Sanotint Bollate follows in second, but lost a game in the standings, as they had to settle for the split versus Mosca Macerata. In game one Debora Moretto led them to an 8-0 shutout, allowing just one hit and a walk in five innings. Jade Wall hit a two-run homerun and drove in four. In the second match Macerata prevailed in nine innings, after overcoming a 0-2 deficit in the top of the seventh. A wild pitch and a sac bunt brought home the decisive runners.
