On Saturday the Cologne Cardinals and the Untouchables Paderborn made up a rained out doubleheader. The Untouchables solidified first place in the northern division of the German Baseball-Bundesliga with a pair of lopsided wins. However especially the first contest was not a blowout, as Paderborn needed to overcome an early 1-4 deficit.
The Uās prevailed 14-4 and 8-0 in the end. Daniel Hinz went a combined 5-for-10 with two homeruns, a triple, a double, three runs scored and eight RBI. Matt Martin scored five runs in the twin bill, going deep once. Daniel Rahn pitched 5 2/3 innings of one-hit relief in the first game.
