With the TEMPLIERS and the HUSKIES preparing for the European Cup tournaments, the Elite League concentrated their focus on the fight for fourth place. STADE TOULOUSE moved into this spot last weekend, beating LA GUERCHE 4-2 and 23-9. The former fourth-ranked MONTPELLIER could not score in SAVIGNY and lost twice through shutouts. CLERMONT-FERRAND had to settle for a split in PARIS and is losing ground in the hunt for the last playoff spot. They stay at three under .500 and two games out.
