We learned two things this week in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. First, L&D AMSTERDAM also stays undefeated after games six to eight of the 2009 season, defeating ADO three times since last Thursday by a combined score of 31-4. Secondly, there are actually ties in Baseball in the Netherlands. On Thursday DOOR NEPTUNUS and KONICA MINOLTA PIONIERS had to settle for a 3-3 tie after nine innings. There is a rule that no new inning can be started if the clock shows 10.50pm CET. Ties are also possible due to rain (after five innings) or after a maximum of three extra innings. NEPTUNUS won the other two matches of the three-game set against Hoofddorp and moved into second place in the standings.
