AVG DRACI BRNO defeated TECHNIKA BRNO 8-6 on Wednesday evening in the Czech Extraleague and moved into sole position of first place. DRACI built up a fast 7-0 lead thru five innings and was able to hold off a late rally by TECHNIKA in the end. Petr Minarik received the win after six excellent innings on the mound. Third-ranked MZLU EXPRESS, which plays TECHNIKA on Saturday, suffered a surprising loss in LIBEREC, as the PATRIOTS celebrated their fourth win of the season. The EAGLES PRAGUE and the ARROWS OSTRAVA also were victorious on Wednesday.
