On Saturday in the northern conference the COLOGNE CARDINALS were upset by the HANOVER REGENTS, stayed in fourth place, but lost ground to the top three BONN, PADERBORN and SOLINGEN, which all celebrated sweeps.

In the south on Sunday, the BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE and the TORNADOS played a thrilling doubleheader in Mannheim. The home team won the first game through Marvin Appiah’s walk-off homerun in the eleventh. The second match also went into extra-innings with REGENSBURG taken away a 1-0 victory on a solo homerun by Daniel Husband.

In the second match-up between top four clubs, the HEIDEKOEPFE and the ATHLETICS each got one win. MAINZ prevailed 10-9 in 13 innings in game one and got crushed by HEIDENHEIM 6-15 in the second.
