PADERBORN celebrated two shutouts versus HANOVER. In the race for the playoffs, the WANDERERS closed the gap to COLOGNE somewhat with a sweep against the STEALERS. The CAPITALS solidified third with a split at the CARDINALS.
In the south, the TORNADOS earned a split in HEIDENHEIM. It was the third doubleheader against a top four team for MANNHEIM in a row. They are now 10-8 and still in third. The HEIDEKOEPFE lost some ground, as the leader BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE swept their two-game set in HAAR. The gap for the DISCIPLES to make the playoffs widened, as MAINZ won both matches against the ATOMICS.
