The 2009 Belgian Baseball League season started this weekend with some interesting results. The PIONEERS swept their two-game series against the BRAVES. But the defending champion PORT OF ANTWERP GREYS already suffered a loss. On Saturday they collected a win in NAMUR thanks to a forfeit. The ANGELS stunned the GREYS one day later with a 1-0 shutout. The KANGAROOS settled for a split with the STARS, as well as the CATS against the SQUIRRELS.
