Some of the participating teams in the Baseball World Cup already have started to play exhibition games in front of the tournament, which is scheduled to start next Wednesday. Spain kicked off the test games on Monday with their five-game series against a team from the University of Los Angeles (UCLA, results unknown). Exhibition games are also planned and played in Italy, Germany and the US.
