The two teams from Vienna celebrated sweeps on Saturday in the Austrian Baseball League. The SUPERFUND WANDERERS took two from the UNION KUFSTEIN VIKINGS to move into second place in the standings, percentage points in front of their opponents this weekend.
The 2007 champion METROSTARS are going to miss the playoffs, but with the two victories against the DORNBIRN INDIANS they will at least avoid relegation.
Leader MOSQUITO ATHLETICS crushed the STOCK CITY CUBS, outscoring them 35-5 in the doubleheader.
