Corendon Kinheim completed the sweep in their opening series against ADO on Sunday with a 9-0 shutout. They scored all runs in the first five frames. Bryan Engelhardt went 3-for-4 with a homerun, three runs scored and two RBI, missing the cycle by a triple. Roy Seltenrijch had two hits, two runs and two RBI. Nick Veltkamp (W) struck out nine in seven three-hit innings. Raynard Doran (L) issued five hits, five runs (3 ER) and three bb in four innings.
Mr. Cocker HCAW – L&D Amsterdam Pirates 4-10

L&D Amsterdam ran its winning streak to five games on Sunday, defeating Mr. Cocker HCAW 10-4. The Pirates built up a fast 8-0 lead through five innings en route to the win. Vince Rooi and Percy Isenia had three RBI apiece. Roeland Henrique Jr. scored three runs. Dirimo Chavez drove in two for Mr. Cocker. Besides a hit batter, Amsterdam’s starter Ben Grover (W) was perfect in six innings on the mound. However Frank van Heijst and Jurrian Koks couldn’t defend the no-hitter. Joey Eijpe (L) surrendered six hits, six runs (4 ER) and six bb in 3 2/3 frames.
Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam – DOOR Neptunus 2-11

DOOR Neptunus completed the sweep over Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam with an 11-2 victory on Sunday. Raily Legito and Rien Vernooij combined for five RBI. Four players scored twice. Tim Roodenburg (NEP) got the start for Neptunus, allowing four hits, two runs and a walk in 3 2/3 innings. Kevin van Veen (W) received the win in relief. Berghmans (L) was charged with four hits, three runs (2 ER) and two bb in 2 2/3 innings.
UVV – Vaessen Pioniers 7-4

UVV has its first win since their return to the Dutch Hoofdklasse. After losses on Thursday and Saturday, the team from Utrecht scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth to beat the Vaessen Pioniers 7-4. Jirka Bliek’s RBI single tied the game. Four batters later Danny Rombley stepped to the plate and decided the game with a go-ahead two-run single. An error added an insurance run moments later. Mark Duursma had broken a scoreless tie with a RBI single the sixth, putting the Pioniers up in front. Martijn Riphagen (UVV) allowed four hits, three runs (1 ER) and three bb in 4 1/3 innings. Lars Huijer (PIO) surrendered eleven hits, three runs and two walks in 4 1/3 innings. Derek Tarapacki (W) got the win, Shane Gnade (L) the loss.
