Recaps: Montpellier, Rouen split Doubleheader



Montpellier Barracudas – Rouen Huskies 5-4, 3-6

The Barracudas and the Huskies split their doubleheader on Sunday in the French Elite League. In game one a hit by Pennington in the bottom of the ninth lifted Montpellier to a 5-4 win. Keino Perez took the loss in relief, his first since game four of the 2008 French finals. In the second match Rouen built up a fast 5-0 lead en route to a 6-3 win with Anthony Piquet winning the pitcher’s duel against Joris Navarro.

Stade Toulousain – Montigny Cougars 9-4, 7-4

The young team of Stade Toulousain continues to impress during the 2010 season. They returned to the .500 mark with a pair of wins against the Montigny Cougars, which dropped to 1-7.

Templiers Senart – Paris UC 13-2, 6-2

The Templiers reduced the deficit in the standings with a sweep against the promoted Paris UC. 13-2 and 6-2 sealed victories number two and three of the season.

The Savigny Lions had a bye week
