UVV extended its winning streak to five games in the Dutch Hoofdklasse on Thursday with a 5-2 victory over ADO. After the guests from The Hague had taken a 2-1 lead in the fourth, UVV regained the lead in the seventh and sealed the win with two more runs in the eighth. Orlando Yntema (W) allowed ten hits and two runs in eight innings, striking out seven. Quincy Lambertina (ADO) issued three hits, an unearned run and six walks in five innings. Jurandy Girigori (L) took the loss in relief.
Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam – Vaessen Pioniers 5-1

Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam won its first game of the season on Thursday, defeating the Vaessen Pioniers 5-1. Five runs between the second and fourth decided the outcome early. Emeron Lourens drove in two. Ruderly Manuel (W) gave up six hits, a run and four walks in eight innings. Conrad Orman (L) surrendered four hits, five runs (2 ER) and three bb in four innings.

DOOR Neptunus scored five runs in the top of the tenth thanks to the IBAF Tiebreaker Rule en route to a 7-2 win over Mr. Cocker HCAW. Raily Legito went 2-for-3 for Neptunus with two walks. Diegomar Markwell (NEP) conceded five hits, two runs and two bb in seven innings. Dennis Burgersdijk (HCA) was charged with five hits, two unearned runs and six walks in 6 2/3 innings. Arshwin Asjes (W) received the win, Maarten Mulder (L) the loss.
L&D Amsterdam – Corendon Kinheim 3-2 (10)

The duel for first place was also decided via IBAF Tiebreaker Rule. L&D Amsterdam prevailed 3-2 after ten innings against Corendon Kinheim. A sac fly by Bryan Engelhardt and a RBI single by Rafael Jozefa put the team from Haarlem in front. A RBI single by Sidney de Jong and a wild pitch erased the deficit in the bottom of the frame before Bas Nooij ended the game with a walk-off RBI single. Otherwise pitching dominated the contest. David Bergman (KIN) struck out nine in 8 1/3 scoreless five-hit innings. Rob Cordemans (AMS) had eight Ks in seven frames, allowing just three hits and two walks. Jurrian Koks (W) got the win, Nick Stuifbergen (L) the loss.
